From off-the-shelf door options to made-to-measure bespoke timber doors, we can supply the style you like. Our London carpenters install both internal and external doors, as well as fire doors.

Door Materials

One of the great characteristics of wooden doors is they can be crafted from a wide range of woods with different finishes, such as painted, varnished, or stained.

In addition, we can integrate windows into the door for a glazed option.

Similarly, we can supply either hollow or solid core doors.

Doors can be made to the door frame timber as well.

Fire Door Regulations and Certification

We can install fire doors and provide the necessary certification as part of the service.

As a legal requirement, fire doors are mandatory for all non-domestic properties, such as businesses, commercial premises, and public buildings. Fire doors are a requirement in blocks of flats and houses of multiple occupancy (HMOs) as well.

That said, fire doors are not a legal requirement in many homes in the UK, however, there are some exceptions.

Building regulation details where fire doors are neccessary:

  • Any new build or home renovation that has three or more floors must have fire doors fitted to every habitable room that leads from a stairwell. This applies to loft conversions where an extra floor has been added to a two-storey home.
  • Any door leading from your home into an integral garage must be a fire door. In most domestic situations, FD30 (fire doors with a 30 minute fire rating) are sufficient
